John H. Gilliland
President

With over 20 years experience in the real estate business, John is recognized as one of the top self storage brokers in the industry. He directs the overall business development of acquisitions and dispositions.

A native of Pennsylvania, he received his degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA. After many years in the California commercial investment real estate market as a top producer, he returned to his home state to manage brokerage teams for Bennett Williams and High Industries of Lancaster, PA. Realizing the great need for a specialist in the growing self storage industry, he established Investment Real Estate, LLC, in 1998 to specialize solely in the brokerage of self storage facilities in the Mid-Atlantic States and Northeastern United States.

John has earned the respect of his colleagues. He was elected President of the Pennsylvania Self Storage Association in 2001 and served for five years. In 2003 he was elected to the Board of Directors of the national Self Storage Association and re-elected for another term in 2006. In 2007 he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has been and is a speaker at numerous self storage conventions and conferences, writes articles for self storage publications, and provides expert testimony on behalf of his clients.

Daniel J. Wolf
Brokerage Advisor

Joining Investment Real Estate in 2000, Dan focuses on the brokerage of self storage properties in western PA, upstate NY, VA and WV. He works with buyers and sellers throughout their acquisition and disposition transactions.

Previously, his experience included commercial banking and commercial real estate development. As an owner and developer of retail property, he has been involved in site selection, development and leasing of shopping centers in the Mid-Atlantic States.

A graduate of Mount Saint Mary's College, Emmitsburg, MD, Dan majored in business and finance.

Nancy J. Mitchell
Director of Marketing
Brokerage Advisor

Responsible for the brokerage advertising, national trade shows, marketing communications, and website, Nancy handles the client property marketing program and the development of the databases for Investment Real Estate. Joining Investment Real Estate in 2001 and previously a Realtor in the Midwest, she focuses on client communications and the preparation of Offering Memorandums, statistical analysis and due diligence.

Mitchell has worked for over twenty-five years in real estate and for firms such as GTE, the Illinois Capital Development Board, Graebel Van Lines, Prudential, and Century 21.

Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, IL, with a degree in Marketing.

John E. Barry
Brokerage Advisor

John specializes in the listing and sale of self storage properties throughout the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States. He also assists in the preparation and research involved in conducting feasibility studies.

Barry has been in the self storage industry for over ten years as an owner of Lanco Mini Storage Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Previously he was in the financial services field for over nineteen years. Most recently, he held various executive level positions within the asset management affiliates of Sterling Financial Corporation in Lancaster, PA, including Church Capital Management and Sterling Financial Trust Company. Previous to that, he was a bond trader with Hopper Soliday & Company.

Barry is a graduate of James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA, with a degree in Finance and Real Estate.

Jason D. Kolivoski
Brokerage Advisor

Jason specializes in the listing and sale of self storage properties throughout the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States. He also assists in the preparation and research involved in conducting feasibility studies.

Kolivoski began his self storage career in 2003 in the Management Training Program with All Seasons Storage in York, PA. During his three years as a District Manager, he managed thirteen properties in the four states of PA, NJ, IN and KY. With the portfolio acquired by Simply Self Storage in 2006, he handled transition responsibilities including software conversion, policy and procedures changes, marketing and studies for new acquisitions.

Kolivoski is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Business Management and Economics.

Diane P. Myers
Executive Assistant to President

Diane is responsible for the office management of Investment Real Estate and its Group of Companies and handling the administrative duties of the President.

Joining the firm in 2006, Diane brings over 25 years of Administrative Assistant experience to the position, 10 years of which were in the commercial real estate field with Coldwell Banker Commercial-Bennett Williams, High Associates, and Rock Commercial Real Estate. Previous to her appointment, she was with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, York, PA.

Myers is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with an Associate degree in Business Administration.
